The role of the Court of Auditors in sustainable development

Abstract

The International Organization of
Supreme Audit Institutions(INTOSAI)
has identified four areas, where it can
contribute to achieving sustainable
development in their countries. The
study aims to highlight the role of the
Court of Auditors in following up and
strengthening the efforts of the Algerian
government to achieve sustainable
development, by studying its
effectiveness and performance in these
areas.
The study showed that the Court of
Auditors has the power to contribute in
achieving sustainable development; but
it must develop and activate important
aspects. In its control function, in order
to effectively contribute to the
achievement of sustainable development
in Algeria.
