Abstract

The article deals with the issue of environmental protection as one of the objectives of the Islamic Shari'ah. It aims to prove that the goal of protecting the environment is one of the necessary collective goals, given that the issue of preserving the human environment is one of the most preoccupations of mankind today, and the environmental crisis is one of the greatest challenges of modern world. And besides, Islamic law can neither neglect an issue of this importance and seriousness, nor miss a thesis related to it. Therefore, this article addresses the possibility of reconsidering both the five necessary holistic purposes and finality legal documenting of preserving the environment within the necessary overall objectives. It addresses it within three axes: first, the concept of environment and necessary purposes; second, the necessity of renewal in looking at the necessary holistic purposes; and finally, the finality of preserving the environment in Islamic law.
