Abstract

he integrity of the elections requires the state to provide guarantees that these elections will be held in respect of the will of the voters, where fair elections are a fundamental pillar of democratic systems that emanate from the people and govern with people power. The widespread monitoring of these elections is one of the indicators of confidence enshrined in the state's political system, particularly if they are carried out by political parties. The aim of this paper is to identify the role of political parties in monitoring the electoral process under the Organic laws related to elections in Algeria, during the stage of preparing the electoral lists and the stage of voting and counting, to demonstrate the inherent criticism and provide possible solutions. The study concluded that the political parties should activate their role in exercising control over the electoral process and to adopt electronic voting in elections to eliminate those already raised issues.
