Citizen journalism is alternative media or electronic chaos?

This research paper seeks to monitor developments of the use of the Internet in the media field and its role in creating what is called alternative media and citizen journalism, as well as knowing the contribution of the latter in providing information to various users, where it exceeded all spatial and cultural limits that were an obstacle in the media field, especially with the developments of social media networks and its various services, and its impact, directly or indirectly, on prioritizing traditional media activity where the citizen journalist has become an active element in the news industry, and at the same time independent of all regulatory and political restrictions in the journalistic field. Finally, I stand at the negative repercussions of citizen journalism on the traditional press, the public, and the public opinion industry in general
