The role of the algerian university in economic and in the light of pioneering social developemet international experiences

Abstract

This study attempts to describe and analyze the role the Algerian University plays in economic and social development in light of the experiences of some leading countries in this field, such as the United States of America, France and Japan, by relying on the unemployment rate index in Algeria, the global innovation index, the human development index as well as the reflection of production University scientific on the national economy. Finally, our study, which relied on the descriptive analytical approach, concluded that, despite the efforts made by the state to advance the higher education sector, the results remain unsatisfactory with regard to the Algerian university's contribution to economic and social development.
