The National Authority for Personal Data Protection between Independence and Dependency.

In implementation of the legal terms of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights which is approved by the United Nations General Assembly on December 16of 1966, this covenant which provides for respect of individual’s freedoms and the privacy of their personal life’s, their families, personal correspondence, reputation and honor, Algeria issued Law No. 18/07 related to the protection of natural persons in the field of processing data of a personal nature, and she give the protection mission to the “National Authority for the Protection of Data of a Personal Character” which a legal authority for the protection of personal data. Through this research paper, we will try to explain the independence degree of the National Authority in the roles of the mission of protecting data of a personal nature without any interfering of other authorities in its powers.
