Abstract

This research paper deals with the concept of positive discrimination as one of the most important policies pursued by pluralistic countries to manage social diversity, to change unbalanced social situations to achieve effective and equitable equality and change the formal equality in opportunities, in order to achieve national integration and the preservation of the national unity,Malaysia is one of the countries that consists of several ethnic groups, it knew some racial conflicts as a result of the disparity between them, it applied the procedures of positive discrimination in order to enable the Malay to rise their level. this paper aims to study the effectiveness of the positive discrimination policy to achieve ethnic peace In Malaysia, and averride the ethnic conflicts to save its national unity
