Open educational resources in the supporting of the Arabic digital content - Toward a strategy for activating the role of university E-learning platforms

Abstract

This article aims at highlighting the role of open educational resources in supporting Arabic digital content, proceeded from the decline of traditional university education systems on the one hand, and the lack of alternative strategies to overcome the weakness of Arabic Digital learning contents on the other hand. In time the development of information society and the widespread diffusion of information technology give rise to new opportunities for the developing countries to invest in these electronic resources along with the developed countries, making great achievement in University education, both electronic and traditional line. This contribution has focused on identifying the role of electronic platforms as important part of open educational resources in supporting the university education process objectives, and achieving digital presence and providing alternatives in Arabic University learning environment. The focus was also on proposing a strategy to develop educational platform systems to increase the ability of Arabic digital content to achieve its objectives, by involving all the key players in it and expanding its use, and as a prerequisite for keeping pace with the scientific and technological development that The world knows .
