The aim of this research paper is to study the relationship between the family and the school in light of the series of reforms adopted by the Algerian school, the latter between them was the second generation. The field study was conducted in some primary schools in the city of Oum El-Bouagui during the academic year 2016-2017. The study sample included the principals (21 principals), professors (42 professors) and parents of students (50 parents) and applying the descriptive analytical method. After the analysis, the results of the study were as follows: - Lack of communication and positive interaction between the school and the families of students. - Absence of a meaningful school plan since a family as a partner in the educational learning process. - The vagueness of the contents of the reforms, the latest of them - the second generation - produced the exchange of charges between the family and the school. In light of these results, a number of recommendations were presented that would contribute to attract the attention of the officials in this sector, foremost among which is the rehabilitation of the relationship between the family and the school and it should consider the family as an effective partner in the educational system as a whole.
