The impact of the Corona pandemic (Covid 19) on security studies

Abstract

This study attempts to explore the possible effects of the corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) on the development of contemporary security studies. This may be achieved by reviewing the repercussions of the pandemic on power distributions in the international system, and its impact on the philosophy of local and global governance, with a focus on the most important research agendas in security such as human security and securitization, and its relationship to the presumed scenarios pathways for the most important research directions in the security studies.
