Given the intensification of informatics trend, the information revolution in military affairs has become one of the most controversial topics on the international arena, particularly with the increasing dependence on informatics in wars, fields of the economy, and so on. Therefore, information revolution is a cornerstone of strategic studies. It initiated the debate on repercussions of this revolution on the development of American strategic military thinking, especially as the latter is the source of this very same revolution. This research aims to study repercussions of information revolution in military affairs on American strategic military thinking, by examining the direct correlation between military technical progress one the one hand, and strategic operational thinking on the other hand. Each time a military technical breakthrough emerges, a new military thinking expands.
