The great number natural disasters that Algeria has experienced recently led to the discovery of several deficiencies in the country's building practices, which includes a total non-adherence to the construction standards' requirements and the use of inappropriate building materials. This problem drove us to focus on the role of the architect in preventing the natural disasters' risks and his obligations towards the compliance with the requirements of the Algerian Building Regulations
