Abstract

The Maghreb region is a pivotal space for the exchange and interaction between Sub-Saharan Africa and European continent, thanks to its geographical location, human and energy resources, some of the factors that gave to the Maghreb a geostrategic position so it attracts attention. However, this region is vulnerable to multiple security threats that make it unstable. Some of these threats are still traditional, such as tensions between countries, with the presence of elements that constitute a new form of threats such as terrorism and illegal immigration on one hand, and the development and spread of organized crime on the other hand.
