Participatory democracy as an approach to activate the role of regional authorities in the management of public environmental affair in Algeria

Abstract

The article aims to addresse one of the new concepts of democracy, which is participatory democracy. This concept represents the most important pillars of local governance in its various dimensions, especially the environmental dimension, on this basis we seek through the pages of the article to clarify the meaning of participatory democracy The constitutional engineering of participatory democracy in Algeria, by focusing on the bases of the participation of the local communities in Algeria in the embodiment of participatory democracy on the one hand and participatory management of the public environmental issue.
