Social and environmental repercussions of the corona crisis in Algeria

Abstract

The emergence of the coronavirus crisis in Algerian society was a re-update to try to cope with it, to ensure a steady process and to avoid greater losses than what we are facing now, especially since the pandemic did not concern only the health field, but also went beyond the most imaginable; towards the social, political, economic, environmental fields and other fields surrounding human activity. And this is what prompted us to search for the dimensions of this crisis in the social and environmental fields, and to try to link its negative and positive aspects within Algerian society, this reveals that some of its repercussions at the social field were characterized in some aspects by dysfunction and a state of solidarity in other aspects, unlike the environmental field, which was likely among the most fortunate sectors during the coronavirus crisis.
