Abstract

Modern institution establishment requires identifying its job’s qualities, arrangements, numbers including tasks, activities with defining its human resources by qualifications and skills. This is called job analysis-crucial for institution regardless its activity, economic, commercial or service. The latter is considered as one of characteristic of societies, which emerged from humanitarian and religious motives. Social service continued as a practice for individuals,groups for sometimes until it became a life requirement because of social reality pressure. Thus, it is crucial to adopt social service choice as problems’ solutions. Algeria has adopted social services after independence in providing social services at all major life’s aspects, particularly, in health and education at the university. This led to the birth of this sector and thus the service spread across the country. This study is classified within the critical descriptive studies relies on descriptive approach to reveal the availability of the Directorate of University Services on a guide to its functions, and its impact on the service provided to the students. In Algeria, this has negatively affected the provision of university service that lives up to the aspirations of its recipients. Hence, it is necessary to expedite the identification of a job guide that enables them to realise their reality and challenge the conditions of their employment.
