Mental health and Quality of life in light of the Corona pandemic

Abstract This study aimed to measure the correlation between the level of mental health (MH) and quality of life (QOL) among Algerian society individuals in light of the Corona pandemic, and identifying the differences between them according to variables: gender, Marital status, and academic level and economic status. Data were obtained from 177 individual. Mental health scale and quality of life scale was applied. And the descriptive method was used. The results showed that: - The respondents had moderate level of QOL and mental health. - Inverse correlation exists between QOL and MH. - There are statistically significant differences in MH according to the, gender, Marital status, and academic level variables. - The respondents had No statistically significant differences in MH according economic status variable. - There are statistically significant differences in QOL according to the, economic status, and academic level variables. - The respondents had No statistically significant differences in QOL according to the gender, Marital status variables. - 79.7% of the respondents believe that they rarely consider that the Corona epidemic is responsible for the problems they suffer from.
