The Turkish Red Crescent Organization between the humanitarian character and the political dimension in the Syrian crisis

Abstract

This paper attempts to put into consideration the Turkish Red Crescent Organization, which has emerged in the Syrian scene through its activities in providing aid and humanitarian services to millions of and Syrian refugees who are living in Turkish territory, with a budget that costs this organization hundreds of millions of dollars. This has led the researcher to raise many questions on the subject, including those, which are related to the political strategy that is hidden by the displaced Syrians who are living in the liberated areas of northern Syria humanitarian nature of this organization. Therefore, to reveal this strategic concealment, this paper will strive to conduct research on the subject through four main axes to draw the final inferences in the conclusion of the article, which revolve around the geopolitical goals that Turkey seeks through the employment of the Turkish Red Crescent Organization and its use as a tool.
