Political participation of Algerian women through the exercise of their right standing for election

This study focuses on the object of the exercise of the Algerian woman of her constitutional and legal right to apply its application in various, local or national elections. And as well as the challenges to address them in order to improve this kind of political participation as a necessary step on the path of political empowerment of Algerian woman. Despite the many advances made by the Algerian woman in the field of health, education and employment ... etc., however - and at least until 2012 – she was not promoted politically and actually on bid to hold the various senior positions in the state including election as required by the citizenship rights, and in spite of considering gender equality one of the most important democratic principles in political pluralism adopted by Algeria since 1989, guaranteed by the Algerian constitution, which has adapted to different international conventions and treaties to which Algeria acceded in matters of human rights in general and policies in particular
