Abstract

This research paper is part of the studies of gender and military sociology, through which we seek to showing the role played by women in security and defence matters. by highlighting the theoretical debate on it. and by exploring some international experiences of women's involvement in national and global armies; In this paper, we aim to answer the problematic of how to strengthen women's military role and to engage them in combat roles? By Using an integrate methodology of the case-study and descriptive approaches. we have concluded that the gender approach has made many theoretical contributions to women's right to engage in combat roles. as demonstrated by the reality of modern armies.
