Abstract

 Algeria, like other countries, suffers from environmental problems, which have become an obsession that haunts global societies because of their implications for the entire universe. This necessitated intensifying efforts to publicize these problems and highlight them and to work hard to reduce them. Is the role played by the media whether traditional or modern and especially social media sites, which are increasingly investing in more of a necessity For its characterizes make it the most means that contribute to awareness of environmental issues among individuals During the definition of awareness activities carried out by various . establishments and formal and informal institutions and also to certain individuals Therefore we aim through our study to learn how to recruit and use social media sites, specialy Facebook in environmental education and awareness of risks faced by the environment and work to involve all individuals voluntarily and responsibly and effectively in making decisions that will preserve the environment through real changes in their behaviors Inder what Algeria experienced popular protest movements demanding change at all levels as political, social levels. Etc These protests were accompanied by awareness and determination .to inculcate positive behaviors, including environmental behaviors such as awareness campaigns and clean-up challenges
