Abstract

 Algeria, like the rest of the world, suffers from the problem of unemployment because of its grave damages to any society, as it reverses its balance and destroys its stability. So, the state strives to limit this phenomenon by harnessing employment policies that include a set of various mechanisms to absorb unemployment. This study aimed to uncover the National Employment Agency, which is considered as one of the most important organisations that have been set up to confront the problem, and which in turn developed a set of programs and mechanisms with the aim of accommodating young people by providing them with employment contracts. Statistics were taken from the Direction of Employment of the wilaya of Batna according to the contracts delivered to young job seekers from 2012 to 2019. This study concluded that the wilaya branch of employment seeks to provide employment contracts for young people of different ages and from various educational and professional levels. A considerable number of contracts have been submitted, whether integration contracts or a subsidized work contract. However, job offers do not fulfil all job requests
