Abstract

This research paper aims to shed light on the process of re-engineering human resources - engineering - and its importance especially in the educational field, and highlight its role in making fundamental changes to human resources operations, by directing them to adopt new methods, extracting the potential and employing them to provide greater value to reaching knowledge societies, which are a state of intellectual and cognitive excellence, by finding more effective ways and means to address the problems of education in society, and control of knowledge, focusing on its operations. The research paper concluded that the success of the re-engineering depends on the extent of commitment and conviction of the parties concerned, the need to adopt this program in order to improve the competitive situation and this conviction is manifested in the form of allocating the necessary resources for implementation, especially in the early stages by accepting the changes resulting from the implementation process, This depends fundamentally on adopting effective communication channels, relying on technology, empowering and involving workers in decision-making, and focusing on the process of generating knowledge, to reach knowledge societies as a requirement for development.
