The Constitutional Court between the developments of the constitutional text and the problematic of its activation

Abstract

: According to the  constitutional amendment of 2020, the Algerian founder abandoned the Constitutional Council, which continued to be applied since the 1963 Constitution until the constitutional amendment of 2016 and replaced it with the Constitutional Court, which requires, and once again, a review of the terms of membership and guarantees of its independence in addition to the expansion of its powers, and this is a constitutional development in the field of constitutional oversight
