Detention of children under Algerian law

Abstract

Detention is one of the serious coercive measures which affect and restrict the freedom of individuals, and this procedure is more dangerous when it concerns a child who has not yet reached the age of majority, and in order to give a special legal protection to this category, the Algerian legislator has approved special rules regulating this issue with a declaration. arrest process are not arbitrary, in a way that ensures the consolidation of the principle of the presumption of innocence. Thus, we will highlight in this research the procedural provisions regulating the issue of the detention of children in Algerian legislation
