The political role of Rustumiya, Hammadieh and Zayania Women in the Middle Maghreb: a comparative study

Abstract

Women in the Islamic Maghreb enjoyed a prominent position in all fields and roles, especially in the political aspect, as they reached power, entered politics, and got married for the sake of peace and reconciliation. Women ministers, chancellors, and there are even those who died for their country. That is why we tried to highlight the role of middle Moroccan women in the history of the Islamic West between the positive roles they played in solving problems of governance and conflict, and between their negative role in fueling the fire of sedition and jealousy between brothers, and even planning to do coups and alliances with enemies
