This study aims to shed light on the role of one of the men of thought and reform in the Islamic world, the Algerian Hanafi Mufti Ibn al-Annabi in the field of culture, politics, reform and resistance to French colonialism, by addressing the beginnings of the Hanafi presence in Algeria since the modern era, and then introducing this prominent pole of Algeria, then to his role in the fatwa and the judiciary, and then the judicial and advisory system in Algeria,ending with the role of Ibn al-Annabi in resisting the projects of the French occupation. And in order to answer the problem related to the role played by this distinguished Algerian intellectual scientist in the Algerian, Maghreb and Islamic society religiously, culturally, politically and intellectually?
