Keeping up with scientific and technological progress and developments has become an urgent necessity in light of their influence on both individuals and societies, especially during the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, which caused a general lockdown and quarantine on societies. Like other educational levels, higher education contributes to trying to overcome this crisis and attempts to help students continue their education through distance education. In light of this, an attempt was made in this study to investigate Algerian university students’ attitudes toward distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study tried to answer two questions : What are students' attitudes toward distance education during the COVID- 19 pandemic ? What are the obstacles to distance education as perceived by university students in Algeria?
A descriptive quantitative design was employed in this study due to its appropriateness to its aims on a sample consisting of 217 university students.
