Abstract

Biological terrorism is one of the most dangerous transnational weapons of mass destruction because of its great ability to kill millions of people, within a few days in silence and without a single drop of blood, to rely on microscopic organisms invisible in hostilities to achieve political, religious, intellectual or commercial objectives. This has put the international community in a state of panic, especially after the spread of the Corona pandemic throughout the world, fearing the use of this virus and others as a biological weapon that kills human life, from which this study aims to assess the role of international mechanisms in the fight against bioterrorism, which have been unable to perform their tasks due to the rapid scientific development of biotechnology and genetic engineering in the absence of an effective international mechanism for follow-up, investigation and inspection
