Father’s treatment styles as perceived by children and its relationship to self-efficacy among adolescents A comparative study between adolescent smokers and non-smokers

The present study aimed to investigate the correlation between the styles of father’s treatment and self-efficacy as the children perceive it ,in the addition to know whether there are difference in the father’s treatment styles and self-efficacy in the study teenagers between smokers and non-smokers. The study was conducted on sample of adolescents(115 smokers and 111 non-smokers)in Batna،their ages ranged between 14-18 years. Relying on the descriptive method in its two parts relational and differential،and using the parental treatment styles scale for (Amani Abd elmaksoud) and the self-effectiveness scale for Jerusalem and Schwarzer,1986 that and codified in the ara environment by Djamil Radwan. Relying on the differential descriptive metho, the study reached the following results:The lac of a correlation between the dimensions of father’s treatment styles and self-efficacy among smokers and non-smokers adolescents. There were no differences between smokers and non-smokers adolescents in the father’s treatment styles and in self-efficacy
