Algeria's efforts to establish the foundations of a green economy

Abstract

The present study aims to highlight the Algerian efforts to achieve the goals of the green economy by enacting environmental laws that take into account economic growth, including the region’s law as one of the real catalysts for reaching sustainable development and building a green economy that Algeria adopted through the law relating to the preparation of the region and sustainable development issued in 2001 and other supporting laws. It has been concluded that the Algerian legal texts have been adapted to the requirements of preserving the environment and achieving sustainable development that guarantees the rights of current and future generations.
