The problem of the concept of social capital in the sociological literature

Social capital is conceived as the product of relationships between people. Just as its existence and permanence lead to social recognition. This is how social networks seize social capital. Most researchers believe that the development of social capital means depth, diversity and the density of social bonds. On the contrary, if it is superficial lacking density and low, it means that it is in regression.In this perspective, this article aims to address the issue of social capital in the era of digitalization. In other words, how and how new communication technologies will impact and allow to apprehend social capital through the prism of different sociological approaches and vice versa.
