Abstract

Among the first stages of a research that we began to conduct since January 2018 around a fairly new object represented by the shopping centers newly established in the territory of the new city of Ali Mendjeli (Constantine); we carried out a literature review in relation to our project and we propose to restore some of its results which translate concretely into realities that we have been able to observe in situ, namely the emergence of a consumer society, and the existence of forms of sociability and leisure. Without also saying that these new spaces initially dedicated to trade also make it possible to relay and replace the lack of infrastructure recorded in the territory of this new city.
