The Reality of Traditional Industries and Crafts in Algeria and their Role in Economic and Tourism Development

Abstract

This paper attempts to shed light on the traditional industries and crafts and
their contribution to the economic and touristic development, in terms of the ability
to create jobs and absorb unemployment and their ability to support the growth of
GDP and create new revenues, and contribute also to tourism development in Algeria.
This study also tries to highlight the qualifications of the handicraft sector in Algeria .
This study led to the conclusion that, despite the potential of the handicraft sectors in
Algeria, their results not correspond to the level of these possibilities
