Abstract

In this research we will reveal the impact of the social aspect on waste management from analyzing the total strategies that the state has laid down after adopting a mechanism - selective sorting of household waste - that mainly depends on citizen participation, and on this basis we conducted field research in which we used the quantitative approach using the questionnaire technique that included 400 families. A resident of Rabia Taher neighborhood in Bab El-Zouar, where the project was implemented In the end, we discovered that the strategies were insufficient, as the social aspect was neglected, and thus the failure to build a good forward-looking plan, the weakness of the awareness campaigns, the absence of civil society elements and the lack of technical equipment needed for screening, which led to the failure of the project a few years after its creation.
