Abstract

The oppressed groups in all societies and in all cultures are looking for various
platforms for themselves to convey their suppressed voice, and to represent their
interests and the forms of their social, economic and cultural existence. These broad
categories have always been subject to oblivion and marginalization by official
cultural and literary institutions.
Khairy Shalaby sided with the spirit of the simple people, in order to represent his
diaries, pains and dreams, his humorous and sarcastic spirit,
How does the narrative aesthetically represent the marginalized? How does this
narrative constitute resistance against the official institutions known for their disdain
for the lower classes and their cultures? Finally, was the narrative of marginalized able to change their negative situation and undermine the hegemony
