Abstract

Phonology is one of the most important sciences that have had a place in our
Arab heritage since the earliest times of linguistic authorship, so it has occupied the
interest of linguists and rhetoric alike, so we find pictures of this science in the folds of
Hazem Al-Qaratajni’s book, The Approach of Rhetoric and the Lore of Writers, Where
he talked about rhythmic phonemic proportions as an aesthetic component in poetic
construction, he focused on the eloquence of singular, complex, and harmony between
letters, this study comes to stand on the importance of the phonemic component in his
poetic production, The most important aspects of the Arab phoneme heritage emerge
to give it a fresh breath and a place in contemporary studies, Answering many questions: How did Hazem Al-Qartajni see the sound component or the rhythmic
function within the linguistic formation? How did the phonemic proportions affect the
aesthetic of the poetic text?
