Coping strategies of hypothyroid patients.

Abstract

This research aims to study the coping strategies of hypothyroid patients, on a sample of 35
patients with hypothyroidism, using the descriptive approach. The Cousson & al 1996 Coping
Strategies Scale has been applied, translated by Azzouz Ismahan. The study concluded with the
following results: Diversity in the coping strategies of the research sample. Statistically
significant differences between males and females in the problem-focused coping strategies in
favor of females. The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences
between males and females in the coping strategies focused on social support in favor of
females.
