The Issues of Almujam Alwasit in Lexicography The Case of NABATA to NABAKA

Abstract

The current research examines the approach used in producing the dictionary- (Mu’jamu Alwasit), with concentration on its aspect of lexical items arrangement to find out whether the items are arranged in conformity with the statements in the from (Nabata to Nabka) introductory part of the dictionary, as well as it determines their definitions including typography, rhetorical, and auxiliary perspective. The paper focuses on criticizing the statement that the dictionary is a fully integrated one and the best in the field of lexicons today in terms of organizing its contents. The research was carried out on a selected sample of its lexical items.
