Abstract

In the late nineteenth century, Algerian writers contemporized a difficult intellectual mood. Most of the time, The era civilizational essence is always the primary orientation of literature. The literary renaissance brought about a cognitive shift both intellectually and ideologicaly proving the strength of the language in rebuilding the mental structure and developping the behavioral structure of the Algerian individual. After accumulation of knowledge, renaissance emerges building a model to realize the principles of the founding references. This model exercises its function and authority in changing the prevailing sensibility towards awareness in which the features of identity are manifested. This study seeks to answer the following questions: What is the specificity of the Algerian text in this period? What is the impact of the bridging culture, imported ideas from the Arab East and Western thought on the identity of the Algerian text?
