Abstract

This study aims to identify one of the reasons behind the Interpreters divergence ; which refers to the generalisation and specification in the interpretation, besides, to exhibit its effect on the divergence of interpreters. The study was based on the following methodologies : Inductive reasoning, descriptive, analytical and comparative approaches . It examined the topic trough the discussion of : the basic terms of the research [General - specified - specification], generalization formats and its divisions also the types of the particularisation. Then, it evoked the judgement of the application of generalisation and its significance among Islamic scholars. The study was concluded by applied examples of interpreters divergence in this topic to show its effect on Holy Quran interpretation
