Abstract

This research paper aims to achieve an analysis of the effects of the technological revolution on the political and public sphere, in terms of producing new dimensions of political action and societal participation, where the study assumes that political affairs’ acquisition of the property of virtualism and the openness of public space, has brought profound transformations in the nature of its outputs and significantly strengthened the capacity of political participation. The paper was initiated by identifying the the conceptual aspect, especially since it contained terms that are not authentic for political research, which facilitates the process of guiding the reader to the fundamental idea that of the relationship between cyberspace and its various rationales and political life. The research concluded with a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that cyberspace is a successful embodiment of the ideal public space, as virtualization provides an effective tool for re-engaging individuals in political affairs, and thus creates a pressure force capable of transforming the paths of systems and governments.
