Information Pollution in the Digital Space : A study of influences on Algerian society and ways of prevention

Abstract

The aim of this study is to clarify a phenomenon that has negatively impacted all aspects of humanity, a phenomenon known as "information pollution" which means all that negative information, wrong or misleading. The study focused on various concepts related to information pollution, where the emphasis was placed on this concept in the digital environment and mentioned the most important reasons for the emergence of the various phenomena that have been exacerbated in the society affected by the negative information. Finally, the study includes ways of preventing or reducing this phenomenon, Government role, institutional role, family role, and personal role.
