Infant and child mortality rates are vital indicators that reveal the state of health care and social development in the Arab region. This study aims to review the trends and factors influencing the levels of infant and child mortality in the countries that recorded the highest rates, by studying recent data and research results. The analysis showed that there is a large variation in mortality rates among these countries, which linked to a complex interplay of factors, the latter of which include, but are not limited to, healthcare infrastructure, where gaps in infrastructure and access to health services can have a significant impact on mortality rates. In addition, education and maternal health awareness play an important role in reducing the risk of mortality, as education and increased health awareness can lead to the adoption of better healthcare practices for children. Economic factors also emerge as important determinants, as poverty and income inequality can affect families' ability to obtain the needed health care for children.
