The correlation that interplays between history and cultural heritage gave birth to a new field of human sciences namely, Historical Anthropology. In fact, history remains one of the disciplines devoted to the study of human species, civilization, and all that concerns cultural heritage. Hence, one cannot deny the importance of history in the preservation of cultural heritage against the ideological currents which the new world order brings. Therefore, it should be mentioned that the region of “El kef” that is located in the surroundings of Beni Snous village -Northwest of Tlemcen- does not make an exception to the rule, for it has been confronted to many degradations as far as culture architecture and linguistic developments are concerned because of numerous reasons, such as the new world order, rural exodus and the global warming. In this perspective, it is up to historians to cope with the appropriate concepts and approaches so as to try to renew what has been forgotten throughout times.
Based on such data, we will try to highlight the main cultural and anthropological characteristics and features of this region.
