Abstract

This study cames to summarize some aspect of the colonial economic
policy applied by the French authority in Algeria during the era of the Third
Republic, through the exploitation of the natural capabilities owned by the
colony, for example, the product of the alfa the worked to develop its
production quantites through the use of various methods and legal procedures
And providing financial support and building economic structures from the
exploitation of this material in order to export it to the French market and
international markets, and thus achieve material gain for the colonial minority
and serve the metropolis economy. Considering that the alfa material is one of
the industrial crops of a commercial nature, it negatively affected the
traditional sector of the Algerians, as consumer agriculture declined and
foreign capital was injected into the Algerian economy, thus worsening the
living conditions of the Algerians.
