The role of the sociology of knowledge in building an Arab sociology : Analytical conception

Much has been written about the reality of Arab sociology in scientific
institutions, its position in research practice and the extent to which it controls the
treatment of social problems at hand. However, the epistemological issue was not
given sufficient attention. The issue that includes the dialectical relationship between
the research subject and reality. To solve the problem of the Arab sociology crisis, it
needs to control sociological knowledge and/or overcome the epistemological crisis
of Arab sociology, the crisis of epistemological awareness, by approaching the
epistemological categories of the sociology of the other according to sociology. ego
(cash and pick), As a first case for building an Arab sociology, then building an
epistemological model for an Arab sociology of knowledge, just as Western sociology
happened when it fell into an epistemological crisis through the works of Karl
Mannheim and Max Schiller, for example. The current state of Arab sociology can be
overcome in the same manner. This task falls on the shoulders of academic institutions
and those interested in sociological affairs, led by professors and researchers
belonging to the departments of sociology in various Arab academic institutions.
