General conditions in the first région of the first wilaya before 1954

Abstract

Before the outbreak of the Algérien revolution in 1954, the general conditions
in the Aurès region were miserable as a result of the colonial policy pursued by
colonialism, and the first region of the state of Aurès, like other regions, suffered from
the deterioration of the political, economic, social and cultural conditions as a result
of military repression, economic exploitation, extreme poverty and ignorance. In the
fact that these factors formed a fertile ground that helped to explode the revolution
and contributed to preparing the souls to accept the revolutionary work to get rid of
colonialism.
