The relationship between paedophilic practices and the phenomenon of child "abduction: a theoretical approach

 In recent years, child abduction in Algeria has experienced a significant increase, causing widespread terror and fear in various segments of society. Some experts attribute the main reason for these abductions to financial motives, while others believe it is driven by revenge and social practices related to witchcraft and sorcery involving children's organs. Additionally, there are taboo reasons that have not been extensively studied, such as the abduction of children for sexual purposes by adults with paedophilic tendencies, who exploit the child to satisfy their own sexual desires. This paper will explore the concept of paedophilia from a theoretical psychological perspective, including the medical and clinical psychiatric diagnosis of the condition. It will also examine the characteristics of individuals who suffer from paedophilia. Additionally, the paper will discuss the phenomenon of child abduction for sexual purposes in Algeria and the role of government organizations in mitigating this issue.
